Kent Police Cadets

Who we are

Kent Volunteer Police Cadets are a uniformed youth group for 13 - 17 year olds.  Our aim isn’t to recruit new officers but to encourage the spirit of adventure and good citizenship amongst our cadets.  We encourage young people from all backgrounds to join us, including those who may be vulnerable to the influences of crime and social exclusion.

 What we do

As well as showing cadets the exciting world of policing, we get involved in hundreds of exciting activities and events.  From visiting fire stations and helicopter bases to water sports, marshalling community events and training in first aid.  There’s something for everyone!

 Can you help?

We’re looking for people aged 18+ to become Volunteer Cadet Leaders.  Whatever your background, you have skills and experience which you could share with the next generation.  You don’t need to know anything about policing to help out, and you don’t need to commit to any set times - we’re flexible on when and how you help and there are loads of ways to get involved.    Uniforms, training, support and vetting are provided at no cost, and there are exciting optional events year-round for those who want to get more from their voluntary work.

Contact us now to join a team of ordinary people doing extraordinary things!
